Speak Up for the Poor and Helpless and See They Get Justice

Cambodia Mission Trip

Tue, October 23, 2012

Join Rescue Her and Josie Carignan for an unforgettable one week missions trip to SHE Rescue Home in Cambodia Oct 23-30, 2012!

Come see the work that Rescue Her is doing to help fight human trafficking through our partnership with SHE Rescue Home. Help minister to those in need, and see first hand the realities of sex trafficking, trafficking of minors and the hope we can bring through rescue and restoration.

Rescue Her Trip Outline:

We will visit the She Rescue home, do crafts and devotions with the girls, meet with the staff, tour their facilities, see the night life and ‘working girls’ in Cambodia, and hear stories from those working to rescue girls out of the brothels involved in human trafficking.

We will visit other ministries and vocational program projects that help fight human trafficking and work together with SHE. We will take home visits to minister to the families that have been affected by human trafficking and get an opportunity to disciple them and minister to children in their neighborhoods as well as bless them with food. Cambodia is a very poverty stricken nation and a lot of the human trafficking happens simply because of desperate need. We will also visit the area by the infamous Phnom Penh garbage dumps where we will help give out food to very needy families that live in shacks by the dump.

On Sunday we will visit a vibrant local church where the girls from SHE attend. We will visit the “Killing Fields” museum set up to honor the deaths of millions of Cambodian’s under the Khmer Rouge in the 1970’s. Finally, we have scheduled a day of experiencing the beauty of Cambodia, sightseeing and shopping.
