Rescue Her exists to empower survivors of sex trafficking to live in freedom. Our mission is to respond, restore, and raise awareness. We respond to crisis calls received through our hotline and collaboration with law enforcement. We offer restorative services to survivors through our long-term Empower Program. We raise awareness through speaking events, educational resources, and awareness campaigns.
We are located in Euless, TX and assist adult, female survivors primarily in Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, and Collin counties. We believe that every survivor we work with is capable, worthy, and has a future worth fighting for.
The Empower Advocate is a field-based victim service provider who works with other staff to carry out comprehensive Empower Program services. Empower Advocates triage and respond to calls on our 24/7 crisis hotline. Advocates are the first point of contact for community partners and survivors themselves who are seeking crisis or long-term services.
Advocates are responsible for providing both short-term crisis services (72 hours - 1 year) and long-term services through Rescue Her’s Empower Program (1-5 years). Services are provided both in-person and remote.
Empower Advocates serve adult (18+), female victims of sex trafficking primarily in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties.
This position is primarily funded through a three-year grant with organizational plans to develop long-term sustainability.

Reports To: Advocate Supervisor and Director of Victim Services

Required Knowledge + Skills
Spanish speaking preferred
Must live within 40 miles of Downtown Dallas
Ability to have a flexible schedule; often working nights and weekends
Ability to work in fast-paced, intense, high-pressure environment
Excellent attention to detail and dexterity to manage multiple clients simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to communicate (emails, texts, phone calls) clearly, timely and consistently with many different partners
Ability to work independently and to be a self-starter
Demonstrated ability to calmly and effectively handle multiple crises
Demonstrated competence in cultural humility
Commitment to client empowerment through strength-based and trust-based principles
Ability to prioritize to challenging self-care and personal respite
Be confident in helping to develop new organizational programming and response tactics.
Broad knowledge and experience in working with traumatized populations
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various different groups/individuals for the purpose of reaching a common goal
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, valid car insurance, willing to utilize personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement for job-related duties)
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Documents, etc.
Ability to utilize Apple products. Empower Advocates will be provided a work laptop and phone upon hire.
Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations
Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements
